Make it Wild
Helen Neave and her husband Christopher, co-founders of Make it Wild, kindly spent an afternoon showing us around one of their rewilded areas in Nidderdale - Bank Woods.
We were able to discuss the details of their projects, hearing the highlights as well as some of the challenges they had encountered along their way.
At their site in Nidderdale, they introduced a small herd of Belted Galloway cows in 2018, and in autumn 2020, six Exmoor ponies. They are their conservation grazing teams, performing a vital role in spreading wildflower seed, trampling the ground, and maintaining paths through the gorse.
Make it Wild provide many products and activities such as Natural mindfulness walks, meditation and reiki retreats, carbon offsetting for individuals and businesses to name a few.
